Common questions about what happens after a death is reported to the Coroner.

It is the Coroner's responsibility to ascertain the cause of death. The vast majority of deaths reported are from natural causes, with only a small proportion needing further investigation. The Coroner does not require permission to investigate a death within their jurisdiction and cannot be prevented from doing so.
We understand the importance of getting everything just the way your loved one would have wished.
